Description Teltron Discharge TubesThe Teltron range of demonstration discharge tubeshas been designed to show the properties of the freeelectron.The D range is the original Teltron range with connectionsfixed on the tubes. Teltron Tube Holder D allows the coils to beconfigured in the Helmholtz geometry or to producemagnetic fields aligned vertically, or coaxial, with respectto the tube axis. The maximum field strength generatedby the coils (~ 10 mT) is approximately 300 times weakerthan that produced by an MRI machine (~ 3T), which areknown to be safe for use by people with medicalimplants such as pacemakers.
